The Rev. Ruth Jaynes, Interim Rector
Mother Ruth will be with us throughout our search process to celebrate communion at all weekend worship services as well as minister to the pastoral needs of our parishioners.
Mother Ruth Jaynes has been an Episcopalian all her life, having been baptized, confirmed and married at Grace Cathedral in Topeka, KS. She, along with her husband, Larry, who is also an ordained Episcopal priest, became a member of Church of the Holy Spirit in 1981. Mother Ruth's calling to become ordained did not come until 2000 and she was ordained in 2002. She started work for the Diocese in 2004 as Consultant for Faith Formation. She will continue in that capacity on a half-time basis while devoting the remainder of her time as interim rector at the Church of the Holy Spirit. She and Father Larry live in Omaha. Judy Adamski, Church Secretary
Judy has been with Church of the Holy Spirit since 1999. Judy is originally from Massachusetts (as is her husband Arnie), but the Air Force brought them to Bellevue in 1983 and they liked it so much they stayed! They have three sons and daughter in laws and eight beautiful grandchildren. They are all in the area, so they spend a great deal of time together.
Judy and Arnie also have five spoiled animals! Dakota, their dog (a mix), who is 57 pounds of unconditional love, two cats, Cleo and Romey, and last, but not least, two guinea pigs, Cricket and Noelle. Judy loves animals of all kinds and keeps the birds and squirrels fed both at home and at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Judy loves her job and the people at Holy Spirit and can see herself working here until retirement!
