THE RECTOR'S PAGE

The Church of the Holy Spirit is alive with the joy and worship of Christ. All members have valuable ministries among us and in the world.

As the Episcopal church serving Bellevue, we find great hopefulness and a challenge in our many ministries of healing, teaching, and teaching out to this fastest growing urban area in the Omaha metro region.

Our many ministries are centered on an active lay ministry program. We are diverse in offering our gifts of service in Christ's name. In these lay ministries, we have members who assist in providing Holy Communion both at the altar and to those who are ill or shut-in, sing in our choir and play musical instruments, deliver Meals on Wheels, sort items at the diocesan food pantry in Omaha, prepare and serve meals for the homeless, serve as foster parents, participate in healing and prayer ministries. Many members help when emergencies arise, giving food and assistance as needed within our own congregation.

We believe it is important for people to get to know each other and develop friendships that open our eyes to the presence of Christ among us. Breakfast and supper groups exist to share the joy of Christ in hospitality and enjoyment by dining together at homes or in restaurants.

We hope you will join us and become part of the vital life and ministry of Holy Spirit.

In Christ,

Father Bob Scott
Rector
